+from Via Crucis+
Just as the day you were born
I take you and I hold you tight
I pray that this is over,
I cringe at the sight
Because you stare lifeless
(but) your eyes to the sky
And even in death
I (come to) realize
Through sorrow, I am lifted up
by pain, grace falls down
in sadness, I learn to love
with suffering, I am healed
At the foot of the cross, I weep in pain
Shall I remain, or ought I go away
This sword of sorrow was meant for me
While in my arms, I realize
This is the last time, I will hold you tight
I hold the lamb, sacrificed
I close my eyes, to hide the sight
Now I kiss you, for our last goodbye
So pierce my heart (again)
And in the blink of an eye, it is over
Walk with me in my time of sorrow
Wounded, but I continue on
I will walk with you in your sorrow
Together, we can conquer all
